Last night I heard someone playing their guitar and singing Zach Bryan in the courtyard of my apartment at 5 AM. Safe to say it was a negative externality.
Externalities can be positive or negative. They can help us see the bigger picture and make better choices. I'm interested in the ripple effect of externalities and they ethical side of them.
I enjoy hearing live music so I would say walking through a metro station where music is being played would be a positive externality for me, it is negative when they are on the train and asking for money after they sing.
